REVISED ASSIGNMENTS #2 -- Two days without classes forces a major revision of assignments. We, however, do want to have Test 4 in before SCACS break. Here is the assignment schedule as of Tuesday, Sept 12. Thank you for your understanding. Lab 4 is being cut back to a class demonstration to conserve some class time. I will be "teaching fast" in order to not cut too much material. Be ready to "think fast" too.
Wed. Sept 13 — Finish reading Chapter 3A, Read Text Supplement: Just Between Cells
Thu. Sept 14 — Finish reading Chapter 3B. (Quiz possibility—even though it is Thursday.)
Tue. Sept 19 — Test III Covers Chapter 3A and 3B, Text Supplement and Lab 3. (65 points) Lab 3 due by 4:30 pm. Wed. Sept 20 -- Read pages 80 – 81 (Stop at “The Light-Dependent Phase”). Read page 83 (Start at “Conditions for Photosynthesis.”) Read Box “Chemosysthesis” on p 83. Read Facet on p 84. Read page 85 (Stop at “Cellular Respiration.”) Note: “Closer Look” boxes are omitted!
Thu. Sept 21-- Read pages 85 (Start at “Cellular Respiraton.”) through page 87 (Stop at “The Process of Cellular Respiration.”). Read pages 89 (Start at “Anaerobic Respiration.”) through page 90. (This finishes chapter 4A)
Fri. Sept 22 — Read pages 91 – 95. Note carefully the boxes. Read/Study Text Supplements for this chapter
Mon. Sept 25 — Finish chapter 4B, Lab 4 done as a demonstration in class.
Tue. Sept 26 — Test IV Covers Chapter 4A and 4B, Text Supplements Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration, and Lab 4. (65 points)
Wed. Sept 26— Lab 4 due before noon (half day of school).
Thu. & Fri. Sept 27, 28 - SCACS (no school)
